A day held open in Delhi before the drive into the foothills, absorbing whatever hour your international flight lands. Wander Chandni Chowk, or simply rest. Tomorrow we drive northeast toward the Shivalik forests of Corbett.

Use it to calibrate - format memory cards, test long lenses against a static subject (the sandstone jaalis of Humayun's Tomb work well for focus-tracking practice), and pack the day bag you'll actually carry in the field.
