The Day-by-Day Itinerary
The Lutyens Prelude
Arrival in the capital. Briefing at our private manor on the specific 'Canyon Watch' strategy. We calibrate our optics for the sharp, vertical light of the Vindhya ravines.
The Morning Ritual
Orientation over hand-pressed Nilgiri coffee.
The Culinary Experience
Private de-brief dinner with the Senior Naturalist.
A Day to Breathe in Delhi
A day held open in the capital before the flight to Khajuraho, absorbing any delay from an international arrival. Rest, or spend the morning at the Lodhi Gardens. Tomorrow we fly toward the Ken river country of Panna.
The Morning Ritual
A slow start - coffee on the terrace, unhurried, with nowhere to be before mid-morning.
The Culinary Experience
An easy, low-key dinner near the hotel - the last multi-cuisine city menu before the itinerary's food turns regional and lodge-based.
The Prehistoric Current
Morning flight to Khajuraho and a short transfer to the edge of the Ken River. Afternoon silent boat safari focusing on the Gharials and the riverine birdlife of the Panna canyons.
The Morning Ritual
Riverside "Masala Chai" and Gharial evolution briefing.
The Culinary Experience
Farm-to-table lunch at an organic heritage orchard.
The Gorge Sentinel
Climbing from the river to the sandstone plateaus. We track the dominant tiger prides through the dry deciduous forest, using the cliff edges as leading lines for our compositions.
The Morning Ritual
Sunrise meditation on a rocky outcrop overlooking the gorge.
The Culinary Experience
Gourmet high-tea served at a waterfall viewpoint.
The Scavenger Sanctuary
A specialized morning at the nesting sites of the Indian Vulture. We then move to the UNESCO heritage temples of Khajuraho for a private sunset tour focused on architectural geometry.
The Morning Ritual
Briefing on the "Vulture Recovery Story" on the canyon rim.
The Culinary Experience
Traditional "Bundelkhandi" thali featuring local flavors.
The International Link
Final de-brief in Khajuraho before the return flight to Delhi and your international departure from DEL.
