A Day to Breathe in Delhi

A day held open in the capital before the flight to Khajuraho, absorbing any delay from an international arrival. Rest, or spend the morning at the Lodhi Gardens. Tomorrow we fly toward the Ken river country of Panna.

Naturalist's Strategy "The Gear Calibration: Before the wilderness circuit begins, this is your last day with soft lighting and stable Wi-Fi. Use it to calibrate - format memory cards, test long lenses against a static subject (the sandstone jaalis of Humayun's Tomb work well for focus-tracking practice), and pack the day bag you'll actually carry in the field. If jet lag allows, the diffused midday light in Old Delhi's Chandni Chowk rewards street photography - high ISO tolerance over precision, since the frame is about density and motion, not the surgical detail the parks will demand."
