A Free Day in Bangalore

A full day at leisure in Bangalore before the drive into the Nilgiri foothills, built in deliberately so an unpredictable international arrival never costs a day in the field. Walk through Cubbon Park, or simply rest. Tomorrow we drive into the elephant corridors of Nagarhole.

Naturalist's Strategy "The Deccan Light Primer: Bangalore's elevation gives cleaner, cooler light than the plains ahead. Use the morning to test your setup for the different challenge waiting in the Western Ghats' dense forest canopy - dappled light, fast-moving subjects against low-contrast undergrowth.
