The Day-by-Day Itinerary
The Coastal-Deccan Prelude
Arrival at Mumbai (BOM). Briefing at our coastal residency on the unique Western-circuit tracking protocols.
The Morning Ritual
Orientation over hand-pressed Nilgiri coffee.
The Culinary Experience
Gourmet "Coastal-Deccan" welcome dinner.
The Coastal Pause
A day held open in Mumbai before the flight to Nagpur, absorbing whatever hour an international arrival lands. Walk Marine Drive, or simply rest. Tomorrow we fly toward the dry teak forests of Tadoba.
The Morning Ritual
Breakfast with a sea view, taken slowly - the last coastal skyline before the itinerary turns inland.
The Culinary Experience
Dinner at an old-school Irani cafe or a coastal Konkan restaurant - Mumbai's food identity in one sitting, before regional lodge cuisine takes over.
The Bamboo Heartland
A morning flight to the tiger capital of Nagpur (38). We transfer into the bamboo thickets of Tadoba. Our first safari focuses on the lake periphery where the packs often drink before a hunt.
The Morning Ritual
Final gear-check for high-speed motion capture.
The Culinary Experience
Saoji-style spicy Vidarbha cuisine.
The Whistle Vigil
A full day in the dhole core-zone. We listen for the high-pitched whistle. We track the resident packs as they move through the dry deciduous forest, focusing on the social play between the pups.
The Morning Ritual
Pre-dawn audio tracking of pack whistles.
The Culinary Experience
Gourmet bush-breakfast at a forest watchtower.
The Telia Lineage
Focusing on the intersection of tiger and dhole territories around Telia Lake. The open landscape here allows for long-range tracking and documenting the tension between the two apex predators.
The Morning Ritual
Sunrise sweep of the bamboo ridges.
The Culinary Experience
Traditional "Varhadi" village lunch.
The Kolsa Frontier
Exploring the remote southern edge of the park. The forest here is denser, requiring a 'Stealth Tracking' approach. We look for the leopard that often shadows the dhole packs.
The Morning Ritual
Alarm call interpretation workshop.
The Culinary Experience
Sundowners overlooking the Kolsa reservoir.
The Urban Return
A final morning drive focusing on the diverse birdlife of the Deccan before our flight back to Mumbai. Final de-brief at our city residency.
The Morning Ritual
Final forest choir recording.
