Little Rann of Kutch
"A surreal, minimalist landscape. It is as much a study in geology and light as it is in wildlife."
Terrain, Flora & Logistics
The Terrain Narrative
A vast, salt-encrusted seasonal wetland. It is the only place on earth where the Indian Wild Ass (Khur) still roams. A landscape of white salt flats and "bet" (islands) of vegetation.
Photography Strategy
The "Salt Mirage": Use a wide-angle lens to capture the vast, cracked earth. For the Wild Ass, shoot during the "Blue Hour" to capture their silhouettes against the stark horizon.
